Interface Hardware
Interface and controller hardware for manual and CNC-controlled measuring systems.
Depending on the application, different hardware solutions are available – from compact encoder boxes for position acquisition on manual measuring systems to high-performance controllers for motorized measuring systems. All versions are designed for use with MetLogix metrology software and support a wide range of encoder signals and connection configurations. Available drivers, interface documentation, and programming examples also allow integration into custom applications.
Hardware for Manual Measuring Systems
UEC 142 / 143
A compact solution for capturing and processing position data on manual measuring systems. Up to three axes can be connected directly, with up to two additional channels available for other TTL signals.
The box supports all common analog and digital encoder signals. Position data is transferred quickly and reliably to the metrology computer via the USB 2.0 interface.
MNC 114
Expands basic position acquisition with additional functionality for more advanced measuring systems. The box captures and processes position data from up to three axes with high sampling rate and can also control a motorized zoom axis.
In addition to analog encoders, the MNC Encoder Box supports digital TTL encoder systems. Interfaces for touch probes, light control, and digital and analog inputs and outputs make it particularly well suited for manual optical measuring machines and manual systems equipped with a camera, touch probe, or motorized zoom.
CNC Controllers for Motorized Measuring Systems
MNC 130
Combines position acquisition with control of up to three motorized primary machine axes and an additional motorized zoom axis. The three primary axes can be positioned through the metrology software or using a joystick.
In addition to analog and digital encoder signals, the controller supports interfaces for touch probes, light control and digital and analog inputs and outputs. This makes the system particularly well suited for motorized optical measuring systems and measuring machines with up to three primary axes.
MNC 140
Combines high-resolution position acquisition with control of up to five machine axes, making it the central hardware platform for advanced motorized coordinate and video measuring machines.
Four primary axes can be positioned through the software or using a joystick and trackball. An additional axis can be used for motorized zoom control. The controller processes both analog and digital encoder signals and provides extensive interfaces for motor controls, limit switches, laser sensors, and global inputs and outputs. Depending on the system, the motor outputs can be configured for DC motors, brushless motors, or stepper motors. High-performance motor amplifiers also make it suitable for more powerful drives and larger or heavier measuring stages.
