L3

Material testing software for complex testing applications, with stress-strain analysis, extensometer support, and advanced analysis capabilities.

Software for Advanced Material Testing

L3 is designed for material testing applications where material properties such as stress and strain need to be evaluated in addition to load and distance. The software is well suited for research and development, quality assurance, laboratory, and material testing applications.

It is used with compatible material testing systems, load cells, test fixtures, and optional extensometers. L3 supports measurement and analysis of load, distance, stress, and strain.

Comprehensive Test Routines for Materials and Components

Test routines are created step by step using the Test Builder. In addition to tension, compression, hold, break, and cyclic test steps, L3 supports the entry of specimen and material data.

This makes the software suitable for advanced material testing applications such as peel, flexural, relaxation, and creep testing. Key material properties such as elastic modulus, yield strength, and tensile strength can be evaluated directly from the test curve. The Test Builder uses a graphical, step-based configuration process for creating individual test setups.

Results, Tolerance Limits and Statistics

L3 clearly presents results, graphs, and measurement data in different views. Measurement coefficients can be displayed in result views, tables, or directly on the graph.

Tolerance limits allow results to be evaluated using pass/fail criteria, while statistics and multi-run views support the analysis of repeated tests and comparison of results from different specimens.

Stress-Strain Analysis

L3 supports stress-strain, stress-time, and strain-time graphs. Graphical analysis tools allow relevant material properties and results to be determined directly from the test curve, including elastic modulus, slopes, limits, and values at defined points.

Extensometer Support

Optional extensometers can be used for direct strain measurement. Depending on the system configuration, up to two extensometers can be supported.

Strain is displayed as a separate measurement value. When required, a test can be paused to remove the extensometer before specimen break and then resumed.

Data Export and Reporting

Raw data and result data can be exported in CSV format, either automatically after a test or manually as needed. Results can also be copied to the clipboard, and graph views can be exported as image files.

For documentation, different report formats are available, including graph, statistics, and tolerance reports.

Optional Automation Builder

For advanced applications, L3 can be expanded with the optional Automation Builder. It allows custom formulas to be defined, analog and digital inputs and outputs to be integrated, and conditional logic such as If/Then/Else commands to be incorporated into test routines.
